Ove godine je po drugi put održan memorijalni fudbalski turnir “Nikola Janićijević“ u čast ovog nekada velikog fudbalera koji je tragično nastradao u saobraćajnoj nesreći.
Organizatori ovog turnira su bile porodice Janićijević i Ćirković, kao i Fudbalski klub Borac, uz trenere MiLjana Blazovića i Boška \orđevića, dok je generalni pokroviteLj bila firma “Nidža-mont“.
Učesnici turnira su bile škole fudbala i fudbalski klubovi iz okoline a pravo učešća su imali oni koji su rođeni nakon 1.1.2000. godine. Dečaci su igrali fer i tokom celog turnira nije bilo ni najmanjeg incidenta. Pobednik turnira je bila ekipa fudbalera iz Škole fudbala Arena iz Pančeva. Domaćini, ekipa Borca iz Starčeva osvojila je drugo mesto, dok su pehar za trećeplasiranu ekipu odneli igrači Fudbalskog kluba Mladost iz Vojlovice. Pored ove tri ekipe učešće na ovom turniru koji ima tendenciju da postane tradicionalni su imale škole fudbala Petar Urošev i Mundijal iz Pančeva, kao i fudbalski klubovi As i KraLjevićevo iz Kačareva i Mladost iz OmoLjice.
U redu odabranih i renomiranih starčevačkih poLjoprivrednika, posebno mesto zauzima porodica Pere Kalenderca.
